This has to be one of my favorite sequin t-shirts (yes I own more than one). This top was a highly coveted J.Crew purchase that I got on super sale, I was very pleased with my success. This top and my other sepqin tops are a great way to add some glitz and glam to an everyday look without seeming completely over the top.

Hi, my name is LaRonda and I'm addicted to nail polish. I'm sure the rest of you ladies are addicts as well. It's rare to see me with bare nails, and my collection never seems to stop growing. Oh well. Here are ten lovely colors that won't disappoint. While I could have found ten colors that I love, I got my friend Allison at Glamour and Whisk to help me come up with some choices. This dress has been hanging out in my closet for an ungodly amount of time, it's like I have been saving it for something. It's been ages since Kirna Zabate and Target collaborated, which was a collection I really liked. When I snagged this dress on one of my random Target trips, I was surprised and elated to get it for 70% off, which in my book made it practically free. The floor sweeping maxi just felt so glamorous, and the fabric and pleats were perfect. If you're a shorty like I am, don't be afraid of maxi dresses, with the right one and the right footwear, you can actually appear taller. I'll be on the hunt for similar dresses, this one is definitely a closet favorite.

It's been rather gloomy the past few days and it's so easy to dress accordingly so I decided to dress for better weather, maybe the sun will peak its pretty little head out again. Also, I love the cut of this dress, I want more dresses this style! Happy Hump Day!

Top Ten Tuesday: Flats' Edition

Call me crazy but I've been wearing heels since the 4th grade, and while I wasn't wearing stilettos at the age of eight, even then I appreciated the added height and style. In high school, people would ask if I were feeling okay if I didn't have on heels. Yes, I was that girl, still am. But even though my love for heels only grows with age, I am very aware that I just can't wear them every day. Sometimes your feet just need a break, and I have to be extra careful since I'm a dancer, I mean you don't see surgeons putting their hands in dangerous situations. I do love wearing flats except for the fact that I'm only five feet tall, so I have to be extra careful not to look like a pre-teen. This season's flats are looking pretty good, with a variety of colors, prints, and styles. I've got my eyes on a few, especially all of these babies that made the Top Ten list. Post Scriptum: I'm not quite sure why the text is posted in this silly block format, or why I can't change it, I'll have to launch a full investigation. It's a tad annoying but I guess things could be worse. But if anyone knows why, please tell me. I'm so concerned.

For The Love of Leather

I have always loved leather, always. Even as a child I appreciated its luxuriousness as I often donned my favorite purple leather skirt with matching purple leather shoes. And I even sported it as a tween, I think leather had another comeback in the late 90's/early 2000's and I was an avid supporter back then. Things are no different these days and although leather never goes out of style, it seems that every few years, EVERYTHING is made out of leather. I'm pretty sure that's happening right now and so far I'm okay with it, ask me again at the beginning of 2014.  Since the leather resurgence, I have purchased two leather skirts, a leather t-shirt, and the t-shirt featured in this post that has leather trimmings. It's safe to say, I'm loving leather right now. The thing with these leather pieces is, it's easy for them to look trashy in 0 to 60, especially if you're working with faux leather. So how can you try the trend without looking like Julia Roberts before Richard Gere took her shopping? I say be picky about your leather, whether it's faux, vegan, or real; it's important to know what you like. It's okay to say something looks tacky, everything's not made to be leatherized, you'll know when it works.

Since our office dress code is business casual, I figured full on leather would be inappropriate for the office, but sleeves and a frocket (front t-shirt pocket) are acceptable. I also like the contrast of the slightly edgy top with the frilly skirt, I mean I wouldn't want people to be intimidated by my edginess.
