Off The Grid

(This picture looks as if I were trying to rocket into space)

Dress: ASOS | Shoes: Aldo | Bag: Kate Spade | Bracelets: Five and Two

If you've been reading the blog at all, you might know that I love shift and t-shirt dresses. I love them so much that I often just search for those dresses online. My obsession is real. Evidence herehere, and here.  I sound like a broken record but they're so comfortable and flattering, I love not having to worry about if fabric is hugging something I don't want it to (we've all been there). Also, the title of this post is very much inspired by Weeds. I know I'm like a million years behind, but I've been watching it on Netflix for the past few weeks and it's safe to say I'm very obsessed. The "off the grid" reference is from when they were hiding out and on the run. I'm almost done watching and I think I'm going to be a little sad when it ends.

Ice, Ice, Baby

Dress: Forever 21 | Shoes: Aldo | Necklace: Prabal Gurung for Target | Bag: Urban Outfitters | Bracelets: J.Crew | Earrings: Kate Spade

I'm kind of in love with the whole lucite trend, especially when it comes to jewelry and shoes. I meandered into Aldo this weekend and these shoes instantly caught my attention, not to mention there was an extra 30% off the sale price.  Before I even payed for them, I was already creating looks in my head.  I decided to let the shoes and the necklace speak for themselves and opt for a little black dress.  This was a simple yet fun look that I love!  Have you tried the lucite trend?

The Lilac Bag

This is another one of those double-duty outfits,

Last Saturday was very long and exhausting, had my first professional dance audition, did some shopping, and went out for a bit with some friends.  By the time I got home I was pooped and I think I fell asleep before even finding something to wear to church and work.  I even woke up late on Sunday so I needed something easy and cute.  This was the first dress that I thought of, it only took a few seconds to throw on and I picked some sassy shoes and I was good to go.  I bet you can't guess where I got the dress, of course it was Target, I got it for $15.00 after I stalked it for a while, it was originally $30.00 if I'm not mistaken.  Now the shoes, the shoes are some of my favorites in my entire collection.  I got them last summer in Atlanta when I went with my friend Deveneny for a few days.  I'd actually bought way too much stuff the entire trip and was almost out of money, and by "almost out of money" I mean I was saving the rest for our trip to the outlet mall in Alabama on the way home.  I am unbelievalbly blessed, Deveney's mom, a fellow shopaholic, saw how much I loved the shoes and bought them for me, they weren't cheap.  Of course that makes these shoes even more special to me, they're Levity and I got them from DSW.  But this bag, this bag is my new favorite, I got it from Aldo last week on a random trip with Audrey, I was really looking for black pumps and a black bag but I saw this lovely lady and couldn't help myself, it was originally $50.00 and I got it for $20.00, I was a very happy camper.  I can't stop carrying it, the color is perfect, the size is perfect, I'm in love.  My jewels are some lovely chunky bracelets from an Etsy shop called FIVEANDTWO, check them out. I got these bracelets for $22.00 with a coupon code, so worth it.

Excuse the exhausted look, I'd been wrangling babies all morning.
