Wild Thanggg

These shoes also have superb toe cleavage

Top: Old Navy | Bottoms: Gap | Shoes: Sam Edelman | Bracelets: Five and Two

Of course this is another work outfit, where else am I every day of the week? This was a very interesting day, I got growled at quite a few times this day, I also got a lot of non-animalistic  compliments.  So, I pretty much love every part of this outfit, everything worked together so nicely.  I got this top from Old Navy months and months ago when I was still in Conway, it was one of those random shopping trips that Hannah and I took way too often.  I had a coupon, of course, so I ended up getting the top for like $11 or something like that.  The slacks are the ones I've been wearing all the time now, they're just so comfy, which is must since I HATE wearing pants.  Now to the best part of the ensemble, THE SHOES.  They're absolutely delicious, I often describe clothes using adjectives normally reserved for food.  They're Sam Edelman, I got them a few months ago from DSW, I think I got them for around $50 which is a steal for Sam Edelman.  The platform is perfect, these shoes are unbelievably comfortable, the only downfall is that the 7 1/2 was too small and the 8 is a tad big, but that's nothing that those clever little heel guard things (or whatever they're called) can't fix.  I felt so foxy that day, and everyone at work confirmed my feelings. Oh, can't forget the jewels from FIVEANDTWO.  Not much to say about this look, the pieces say it for themselves.

What a wild day for LaRondezvous

The Lilac Bag

This is another one of those double-duty outfits,

Last Saturday was very long and exhausting, had my first professional dance audition, did some shopping, and went out for a bit with some friends.  By the time I got home I was pooped and I think I fell asleep before even finding something to wear to church and work.  I even woke up late on Sunday so I needed something easy and cute.  This was the first dress that I thought of, it only took a few seconds to throw on and I picked some sassy shoes and I was good to go.  I bet you can't guess where I got the dress, of course it was Target, I got it for $15.00 after I stalked it for a while, it was originally $30.00 if I'm not mistaken.  Now the shoes, the shoes are some of my favorites in my entire collection.  I got them last summer in Atlanta when I went with my friend Deveneny for a few days.  I'd actually bought way too much stuff the entire trip and was almost out of money, and by "almost out of money" I mean I was saving the rest for our trip to the outlet mall in Alabama on the way home.  I am unbelievalbly blessed, Deveney's mom, a fellow shopaholic, saw how much I loved the shoes and bought them for me, they weren't cheap.  Of course that makes these shoes even more special to me, they're Levity and I got them from DSW.  But this bag, this bag is my new favorite, I got it from Aldo last week on a random trip with Audrey, I was really looking for black pumps and a black bag but I saw this lovely lady and couldn't help myself, it was originally $50.00 and I got it for $20.00, I was a very happy camper.  I can't stop carrying it, the color is perfect, the size is perfect, I'm in love.  My jewels are some lovely chunky bracelets from an Etsy shop called FIVEANDTWO, check them out. I got these bracelets for $22.00 with a coupon code, so worth it.

Excuse the exhausted look, I'd been wrangling babies all morning.

Pink and Orange

Dress: Gap | Necklace: Target | Shoes: Express

I can't remember what day of the week I wore this ensemble but I guess that doesn't really matter.  I bought this dress at the beginning of the summer on a trip to Gap with Martha and Rosemary.  I didn't even notice this dress, I'd tried on another dress that wasn't very flattering so the sales' lady brought this to me to try on.  I love that about Gap, most of their employees are just so helpful.  On the hanger this dress looked a little but   I've been shopping way too long to know that you have to try something on to truly get the full look.  Once a tried it on and tied that belt just right, I was sold!  I thought the length was classy, you know since I am some kind of adult now, I use the term loosely.  I snagged these shoes from Express one day, we went to dinner with my dad and we were pretty close to the mall so naturally I made my way there, dragging my sister along.  Express was having an extra  30% or 40% off of sale items, whatever the extra discount was I was in there like swimwear. These babies were $19.99 and the additional discount didn't hurt, pink and orange are two of my favorite colors so it was an added bonus that they were featured in one shoe.  The shoes were originally some silly price like $60 or so, that's not how I roll, they're a wedge so of course they're comfy.  I got this chunky pink necklace from Target, big surprise, it was about $6.00 and some change so there was really no question of whether or not I was going to buy it.

Do The Polka

This is another outfit that worked double duty, I sported it to church and later wore it to work.  Before I went to work my mom advised that I should ditch the heels, they did kinda make the skirt rise up a little, didn't want to be scandalous at work even though I did wear it to church so it couldn't have been to saucy. Anyway, the folks at work didn't get to enjoy the outfit in all of its glory, but oh well. This outfit is almost entirely from F21, the open cardigan is another one of the many items that I picked up during the bogo sale, I think it was like $13...so of course I had to buy it.  Since the top is so flowy, I decided to pair it with something a bit tighter so the top wouldn't have to compete with anything else.  I am wearing a black tank from F21, I've said before that I love getting my basic tanks and tees from there, the prices are a steal.  The skirt came from F21 as well, it's just a basic knee length knit skirt, I paid $7.50 for it when I ordered all that stuff online about a month ago.  The shoes are from Target of course, I had my eye on them for a while, I'm big on stalking products at Target because I know they will eventually go on super sale! They were originally $29.99 I do believe, I paid around $9.00 for them, sometimes I even surprise myself!  I felt pretty sassy in this outfit but then again when don't I feel sassy?  I just love those shoes, my mom is also a big fan of them, she is quick to tell me just how she feels about my clothes, I mostly appreciate her opinions, she did dress me for longer than I've been dressing myself.

Wasn't rocking any funky jewelry this day but I was wearing my absolute favorite necklace, it's pretty much the only necklace I wear.  It's a pair of ballet slippers and it was given to me by my best friend Allison so of course it's extra special to me.

I'll also add that these shoes are ridiculously comfortable, I would have never imagined, the platform is to die for.  I even wore them a couple of months ago for about a whole day, like a whole day, felt as if I were walking on clouds.

Flower Power

I wore this on a Friday, I decided it was a casual look that still had some flare to it.  I got this snazzy floral blazer from F21, I ordered it when I took advantage of their BOGO sale, it was only $18 and of course I couldn't resist.  Since the blazer was so pretty, I decided to keep everything else simple, I definitely wanted the blazer to be the centerpiece of the outfit.  The black tank is just from F21, I always get my tanks and tees from them, they're always super inexpensive, I'm sure this one was $3.  I'm sporting the black pants from the post with the red cardigan, I recently rediscovered these pants and realized just how much I love them, they've got a bit of a harem spin on them but not too much, I also like to cuff them a little bit, for some reason it makes them look better.  And the black sandals, well I hope you lovely people don't get sick of these babies, that is if you keep reading, they're from Target of course. They make running into work pretty easy, some days I do have to jog a bit, just can't make it out the house on time, go figure.

Switching up scenes here, taking pictures outside of my house.

Can't get over my love for this blazer. I'm also sporting a tiny gold chain bracelet, as I said I'm really into simple jewelry.  I picked it up a few weeks ago on a random trip to American Appearal, I was downtown waiting on my sister at the dentist and of course if I had to stay nearby I had to find something to keep me busy.  I got the bracelet for $9, it was originally $18 but it was half off when I went and you know I can't turn down anything that's 50% off.

Faith the Size and Color of a Mustard Seed

This outfit was working overtime, I wore it to church and work.  The outfit's double duty also inspired the name of this post.  I know you're appalled that I have to work on Sundays, not gonna lie, it kinda sucks.  Don't know why Home Depot needs to service its customers every day of the week but don't get me started on that topic.  This outfit features some of my favorite pieces.  This lovely mustard open cardigan is from F21, a few weeks ago they had a buy one get one free sale online, it was too good to pass up.  Some of the items that were on sale were just kinda weird and too trendy but I did find a lot of simple pieces that could be styled with different things.  I got it for $16 and I ended up getting another item for free, that's exactly the language I speak.  The dress is the same dress from the first post and as I mentioned, this dress will be making numerous appearances especially since it's work-appropriate.  I cinched the waist with a little black belt that I got from Target some time ago, I think it was about $14, I managed to get my dad to buy it, that was back when I was young and unemployed, I actually haven't asked either of the parentals for money or clothes in forever now, so weird, I feel like a real person.  I even filled up my mom's gas tank one day, it felt pretty cool.  Back to the outfit, the shoes are Nine West of course, only the best for these feet, I think I got them for $28 last summer, I like the wedge and the gold hardware, nice mix of simplicity with a little detail.
Sorry the scenery isn't super fantastic but it's in the parking lot of my church and well, I just love the place.
Excuse the creases in the top, not gonna lie, I was too lazy to iron/steam the wrinkles out of this bad boy, I removed it from my package the night before I wore it and well that's just no good but whatever.

What's black, white, and red all over?

Cardigan: F21 | Top: Walmart | Pants: Gap | Sandals: Target

Okay, this is the third post in a row that involves stripes, don't worry I'm 100% sure that I didn't wear this during the first week of work, I took a few days off from snapping pics, I think this was probably the third week of work but who knew I owned so many striped items?  I was feeling extra sleepy this day, the bun is a strong indicator that I was exhausted, it's my go to hairstyle #DancerProblems. But I can't for the life of me figure out why I was wearing pants, I HATE pants! Don't ask how I survive the winter, I feel so constricted in pants, maybe I'm just some hoochie who likes to show her legs. The jury's still out on that. It's also super cold in the office so at least I was warm this day.  I got this lovely red cardigan freshman year of college, and it's still going strong, I ordered it from F21 for about $20.  I definitely prefer ordering from them as opposed to shopping in the store, most of the things I buy from them are staple pieces, nothing too trendy, I'm not that cool. Their stores can be fun or overwhelming, sometimes being in there also just makes me feel like a tween and I generally hate tweens.  This is the same $3 tank from Wal-Mart that's featured in the second post. The pants are from Gap, I think I got them for $15, I told you guys I was addicted to sale prices, I think they were originally something silly like $60.  And the sandals are from Target, my mom was very excited when I brought these home, as I mentioned before she hates my five year old black sandals. These are from the kids' department, I shop there way too often, I got them for $10, not bad for another pair of black sandals for me to wear until they fall off.

More Stripes

Of course this is another outfit that I wore to work, that is one of the things I enjoy about working in an office, I have to dress like a real person every day. And although I love clothes and dressing nicely, I'm still fresh out of college so it's pretty easy for me to fall back into my running shorts and t-shirt wardrobe, what can I say, I had rehearsal or practice most of the time so that was my go to outfit. I do miss it from time to time.  But I did allow myself to go a little more casual with this look, it was like the fourth day of work and my energy level was quickly declining.

I wore stripes two days in a row, didn't even notice, must have been feeling the look.  I had this top for a long time before I ever wore it, I don't know what took me so long to wear it, I just have a bad habit of doing that.  I got it from Gap for about $20 or so, it was such a cool top, it's a little sheer, I just couldn't resist.  Since it is sheer it took a while to figure out how to make it work for work, I considered wearing a tank under it but I didn't go with that option.  I actually got the bright idea to try it over a slip, this slip came from a dress that has a sheer overlay, I tried the slip and the top together and loved it. The slip isn't as thin as your usual slip so it didn't look like I was romping around in my jammies or underwear.  The necklace came from Target, go figure, I got it because it has cool layers, it's gold, and it was $9.00. I'm pretty much a minimalist when it comes to jewelry but I've been trying to beef up my collection with cool pieces that aren't too flashy or complicated. And the sandals are from Target as well, I think I got them freshman year of college and when I say I wear them all the time, that's an understatement.  I paid $5.00 for them and I have definitely gotten my money worth. My mom hates them because I've had them so long and it kinda looks like it, trust me they're not gross or super worn out, they're just comfy.  I may or may not have glued the sole back together with super glue a few times, I plead the fifth.  I've recently bought a new pair of basic black sandals but I'm keeping these until they fall off my feet, sue me.

Forgive me for standing like such a dancer, old habits die hard, not that I'll ever stop dancing.

Forgot to mention my cool bracelet, also should have taken a close up of it, but no worries I wear it all the time.  My sister got it for me when she went to Tunisia a few years ago, it's simple and classy so I love it.

Stripes on Stripes on Stripes

Guess when I wore this next outfit, work of course, I sported it on my third day.  This dress was the only piece from the Jason Wu for Target Collection that I was able to get my hands on.  I was still living in Conway when I was limited to shopping at one Target unlike when I'm at home in Memphis when there are too many Targets for me to count.  That being said, everything from the collection seemed to fly off the racks, making it super hard to find anything in my size. On a random Target trip with Hannah Brown, I found this bad boy for a whopping $10, major discount since I think it was originally like $30.00. It's a little big, it's a medium but it kinda fits like a large but I knew that could be fixed easily with a belt.  The belt also came from Target, if you read the first post, this little guy should look familiar.  The shoes are one of my favorite pairs, I got them last summer and for some reason last summer I literally bought 5 pairs of shoes that were this color or within a few shades of the color, still not sure what the obsession was.  They're Nine West, one of my favorite brands, especially for staple shoes, I got them for under $30.00, once again, not too shabby.

I also wore this out to dinner with Allison and Audrey, two of my bestest friends since high school, love those goobers.  We hit up the BBQ shop and Yolo for dessert, I scarfed down some delicious bbq since I was just beginning that dang diet I was on, it was worth it. I need to go back. And Yolo is a delicious froyo place that had it's name long before Drizzy Drake started saying it was the motto. He was right though, Yolo is my motto, I could probably live off their froyo.

The Pink Skirt

Hey hey hey,

This is the outfit I wore on the second day of work, it features some more great steals because as you will learn I'm a bit of a sale junkie. I get a bit of a thrill from buying something at a reduced price, some people sky-dive, I shop. I find it to be a little safer and just as rewarding.  Don't worry, I did this pose for a few days when I got home from work but I quickly was over the idea.  If you look closely enough you can see my badge for work peaking out, I stopped wearing it around the third week, I don't really like the idea of walking around with something that has my name and face on it, I think you can just see my face and ask me my name if you'd like to know.

I got the black cardigan from Target for $5.00, an unbeatable price for such a great staple piece, it's a lightweight cardigan and I wear it all the time.  I got the striped tank from Wal-Mart for $4.00, I saw it there once while I was getting whatever one gets at Wal-Mart and couldn't resist the price for a tank.  This skirt is one of my absolute favorite things that I own, I can't even tell you how many years ago I bought this. It's from Ann Taylor Loft and I got it for about $15.00, my bestie also has the same skirt so that makes it extra special. And the shoes, I should have gotten a close up of the shoes (still new at this), the shoes are Charles for Charles David, I actually got these my senior year of high school. The day I got them was one of the best days of my life, that day I got a whopping 4 pairs of shoes from DSW and back in those days I was just a little high schooler with no job and no real money so...my awesome parents bought them for me.  Went there with my mom with the money my dad gave me for two pairs and then my mom ended up buying me two more pairs. These shoes were pretty pricey for a high schooler to get on her parents' dime but I got them because I tried them on and said to my mom "I don't know what sex is like but I'm sure these are better." She was sold.  Lesson learned: virginity=shoes.  Maybe if I tell her I don't know what crack is like, she'll buy me one of the many items I've been crushing on lately.

Newbie

Dear fellow fashionistas,

I'd like to join the illustrious ranks of all you stylish bloggers out there, I'm new at this so I only hope I will be as skilled and interesting as some of you ladies. Hope you enjoy! My first post will be the outfit that inspired my venture into the blogsphere. Excuse the less than awesome resolution, for some reason I decided to have this picture taken with my iPod and not my camera.

I wore this outfit on my first day of work in the real world, I have supervisors and I have to clock-in and all of that grown up stuff.  I talk to some pretty sassy Home Depot customers on a daily basis but I'm getting used to it and nice people call as well. Plus, I'm making grown up money that has been funding my inability to stay out of stores or resist online shopping.

I'm wearing a snazzy blazer from Target, I got it about two summers ago, it was originally like $40 but of course I stalked it until I got it for $15. I also got the black dress from Target, I randomly found it on a clearance rack a few years ago for $7.00, I wear it all the time, it's super versatile; I'll either wear it with or without a belt depending on the look. The skinny silver belt came from...Target as well (if you continue to read my posts you may see a trend) I got that bad boy for about $3.00.  And last but not least, the tan pumps are Steve Madden, I got them from Ross for 19.99, not too shabby, they're a great basic shoe that I can pair with anything.

So, there we have it, my first official blog post. I'll probably cheat today and try and upload as many different entries as I can before I pass out on my laptop.  Thanks for reading my nonsense and taking a look at the blog.
